Hello! I am Alice Rogier, a postdoctoral researcher at the Carpem Cancer Institute in Paris. Currently, I focus on integrating and structuring chemotherapy data into a database compatible with the Carpem Master Observational Trial (MOT) methodology, applying the data analysis tools I developed during my PhD. The MOT methodology aims to facilitate observational studies by combining data from both clinical trials and high-quality electronic health records to support robust and meaningful analyses.

During my doctoral research, I specialized in extracting and predicting chemotherapy responses from Electronic Health Records (EHRs). My work focused on mining the vast and diverse data provided by today’s clinical data warehouses to better understand and predict patient reactions to chemotherapy treatments. This involved transforming routine medical data—such as narrative reports, laboratory results, and software records—into structured knowledge that can guide treatment decisions.

I have made two contributions to the field:

  • I developed graph representations, ChemoOnto (and its reuse) and OntoTox, which organize and integrate knowledge about chemotherapies and their responses, making this information more accessible and useful for research.
  • I developed ProtoDrift metric, which measures chemotherapy adherence more accurately than traditional methods by accounting for deviations in treatment schedules and dosages. This metric has been validated through survival analysis on a pan-cancer study, with results available at ProtoDrift website. The preprint of this work is avalaible here.

Thank you for visiting my site, where I share updates on my research and explorations at the intersection of data science and healthcare.

ProtoDrift bordelais?

I recently returned from Bordeaux :wine_glass: where I tested ProtoDrift :snowboarder:, my newly developed metric for measuring chemotherapy adherence, on a different patient population. A big thank you to the IAM team for their welcome and support. We’re validating the algorithm in a new context, with promising early results. Stay tuned for a detailed paper coming soon!
